The Arm

Your arm is made up of 3 bones, the humerus, radius, and ulna.

The Humerus

  • ★ Head is proximal and medially positioned
  • ★ The lesser tubercle is positioned anterolaterally on the shaft
  • ★ The greater tubercle is positioned superoposteriorly on the shaft
  • ★ Nutrient foramen should look like they are tunneling into the bone towards the elbow. Humerus nutrient foramen tunnels inferior/down, the radius and ulna tunner superior/up !

  • ★ The olecranon fossa is the largest of the 3 indentations and is the only one located posteriorly.
  • ★ The coronoid fossa is the largest hollow on the anterior surface
  • ★ The radial fossa is the smallest of the three hollows. It is laterally positioned on the anterior surface

  • Actually... take me home !
